Preview for Fall
Fall is right around the corner (I must say that I am rather excited for the mild temperatures, as much as I hate to see summer go!), so we've decided to do a little preview of what we're liking for fall. Our first instinct is to play off warm fall colors and we wanted to make sure we got some Pantone Fall colors in the mix as well! Here are some images from Pinterest to give you some ideas of what we like.

{Sweet Endings}
We LOVE sending our wedding guests off into the evening on a sweet note. And in honor of ‘National S’mores day' (today August 10th!), sharing some of our
S’mores sweet treats that can be enjoyed year round.
As a young Girl Scout, I was trained on the key elements it takes to making your S'mores experience memorable. I recently met someone that had never experienced a true
S’more (tragic!), so here is a brief description on how to make your S’more treat the
best for your next event.
1} Create a large fire
pit for guests to gather around and toast the marshmallows.

2} Place two large marshmallows on the end of a roasting stick, long enough to keep from burning your hands. Hold the roasting stick over the fire, sometimes skimming into it and continue to roast the marshmallows until they are slightly browned/burnt texture to the outside. If they start to melt over the fire and fall of your stick you've gone a little too far and will need to start over with fresh marshmallows.

Olympic Viewing Party
In a matter of days, the 2012 Summer Olympics will be in full swing (and we still haven't figured out why the logo is pink...)! While we won't be making it to London for the games, we'll be watching from home rooting for the USA as we enjoy a cocktail with friends. We found some great patriotic cocktails via Real Simple. Also, check out this great summer must-have, the Zoku popsicle maker! Popsicles (for adults or kids) are easy and fun to make! So, mix up something red, white and blue and cheer on the athletes as they vie for the gold!
Mix up something patriotic and refreshing for the Summer Olympics!
The Zoku popsicle maker is an awesome summer addition and the possibilities are endless! Aren't these patriotic pops awesome?
London ready for the games!

Ombre at the Party!
Nothing adds style and a fun burst of color to any party than an ombre.....well anything, really! Decor, flowers, food and dessert can all be created to have the faded look. Here are a few pictures from Pinterest we found that would make any party just a little bit more fun! Also, here is a link with directions on how to make your own ombre cake!

The Wedding Row-Ginny and Joe
Congrats to Ginny and Joe first of all, on their marriage, and second, for being featured on The Wedding Row! Their ceremony and reception took place last fall at the William Aiken House. Ginny's bridal portraits were also featured on the blog the day before! We loved working with this couple and wish them many years of happiness!

Congrats to Perrin Lawson at the CVB!
We were so honored to be able to participate in celebrating Perrin Lawson, the Deputy Director, and his 20 years at the Charleston CVB at a surprise bash! Joined by family, friends and CVB staff, Perrin celebrated at the Cooper River - surfer dude style! Vintage surf posters were placed throughout, food was displayed on a surfboard and a clothesline of beach and surf essentials was hug across the room. Perrin was celebrated (and embarrassed...) with speeches, a slideshow and some great gifts. Congratulations, Perrin, on 20 years at the CVB making Charleston the destination that it is! Thanks for all your hard work! Also, thanks to Cru Catering for some awesome food!
