{Cait & Bob} Part III: Pineapple

 In the South, the image of the pineapple is to express the sense of welcome, good cheer, and family affection inherent to gatherings. Cait and Bob wanted to welcome their guests in every way to their wedding weekend and we incorporated the pineapple and the additional invitation motifs into their wedding design.

We had a great time designing all the printed materials for Cait and Bob's Wedding Weekend with the help of the very talented Heather Forsythe of Heather Forsythe Designs.

The invitation was printed on Heather's 1875 antique letterpress.

The invitation suite included a matching RSVP letterpress card and return envelope, custom lined black inner envelope and a matching tiffany blue ribbon to tie everything together.
Guests received their invitation suite with custom calligraphy on the inner and outer envelopes by Gayle Hilton of Calligraphy By Request.

Guests arrived to their hotels and received a 'welcome box' from Cait and Bob with Charleston goodies, a Charleston Visitor's Guide and the weekend itinerary.

The Ceremony Program continued the theme-thread with the pineapple on the cover, tiffany blue ribbon,  all printed on deckled edge card stock.

Pineapple Escort Card Tree constructed of real pineapples with matching guest escort cards hanging.

Coming up for Air

Whew! What a great Spring/Summer Wedding Season. Thanks to everyone for your patience as we worked through the last several months. Unfortunately I have neglected the RLE blog, so here is a much overdue update!

{RED LETTER WHEELS}

I've acquired a new set of wheels to get around quickly downtown and get those day-to-day errands done in a timely fashion. So to become more eco-friendly AND to save on time, I found a gently-used, 3-speed beach cruiser. It's quite a site with all those colors, but its a great safety tool in dodging all the cars. See you downtown!

{INVITATION VENDOR}

The very talented Heather Forsythe has been photographing many RLE weddings over the years and has recently dabbled into the invitations/save the date world. Her work is amazing and I highly recommend you check it out. She's just finishing up work on the 1875 Antique Letterpress and I can't wait to see the hot off the press work she'll be printing.
